Al Sharq Al-Youm – Major General Yahya Rasoul, spokesman for the Commander in Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, announced yesterday, Monday, the arrest of an officer who stole his department’s salaries and fled to Turkey.
Rasoul said in a press statement, “Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi followed up the arrest process against Colonel Khaled Al-Mafraji, who stole the salaries of employees of the General Directorate of Warriors Affairs.”
He added, “The arrest process was closely followed up by the Iraqi intelligence service, in coordination with the Turkish side.”
Major General Rasoul continued: “We will not relent against anyone who tries to harm the security of the citizen and the rights of members of the armed forces.”
